I was invited to illustrate the covers for the first season of the Hui-Lan Newsletter, distributed in Hualien, Taiwan, and highlighting selected local events. Centered around the theme of “leaving and returning,” the four covers illustrate the journey of the younger generation of Hualien as they leave their hometown to pursue city life, eventually returning to reconnect with their roots, sometimes alongside newcomers from the city. I also gave an interview for Chi-Lai Magazine 奇萊有誌, where I shared insights about my inspirations and the creative process behind the project.
